The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company level made for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes sassa status it tough for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a sassa service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to allow the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
